At the end of March 2023, an information event for prospective students will take place at the University of Cologne. Here you will have the opportunity to ask your questions regarding the application process, studying in Cologne and Paris and questions about the study program. Meeting in Brussels

Meeting in Brussels

The JDFR is organizing a multi-day meeting in Brussels in March 2023 for DFM students to visit the European Commission, the European Parliament and the law firm CMS DeBacker. DFM students will be given an insight into current European law topics as well as the work in Brussels and the opportunity to exchange with DFM alumni.

60 years celebration Elysée Treaty

The DFM associations, the institut français, La DenkFabrik and the KStW have invited on January 24, 2023. In addition to Dr. Mario Kramp, the Consul General of France, Dr. Etienne Sur, the program officer and President of the Constitutional Court NRW, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Barbara Dauner-Lieb and DFM student Theresia Crone have discussed Franco-German perspectives. The livestream can be found via the Youtube hyperlink.

Workshop ECJ language service

On 02 December 2022, Dr. Ivo Groß from the Language Unit of the Court of Justice of the European Union gave a lecture for the DFM students followed by a panel discussion and a workshop on the challenges of working in multiple languages. DFM students were able to learn about this exciting professional field and exchange ideas with EU experts.
29th Promo "Louise Weiss" graduated

29th Promo "Louise Weiss" graduated

On October 21, 2022, the ceremonial graduation of the 29th class of the German-French program ("DFM-Jurastudium") took place. After a musical introduction and greetings from the Cologne and Paris program officers, the promo named "Louise Weiss" was able to listen to a ceremonial speech by the President of the Cologne Higher Regional Court.


30th anniversary of the DFM program

30th anniversary of the DFM program

On October 01 and 02, 2021, the Franco-German law programs celebrated their 30th anniversary. An academic conference program with the program officers and distinguished guests - including Prof. Dr. Henning Radtke, Judge at the Federal Constitutional Court and Daniela Weber-Rey, former Governance Officer of Deutsche Bank - was followed by a celebration at the Flora in Cologne. Program Officer receives Bundesverdienstkreuz

Law professor and DFM program officer Barbara Dauner-Lieb was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit (Bundesverdienstkreuz), 1st Class, on May 31, 2021, for her decades of dedication to the field of law.
DFH Excellence Award 2021

DFH Excellence Award 2021

The program officers as well as the study program office cordially congratulate Ms. Mara Hütten on the Excellence Award. She was awarded the prize due to her outstanding academic performance, which she achieved in the DFM law program. Ms. Hütten graduated from the program in 2020 and was honored as an outstanding graduate by the Franco-German University.
