Juristes Paris-Cologne (JPC)
The association Juristes Paris-Cologne (JPC), founded in 1992, counts around 1000 students and alumni of the DFM law program between the University of Cologne and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
The JPC is dedicated to the interests of DFM students during their studies at the Sorbonne, for example by organizing events:
The JPC maintains contact with French and international law firms, in particular through visits, workshops and conferences on various topics. Furthermore, the JPC organizes info events for DFM students with regard to advanced master's programs at the Sorbonne, different, sometimes unknown legal professions, or Franco-German career opportunities.
Relationships between members of the program and students from other master's programs are fostered through cultural, sporting, and festive events. For example, each year an integration weekend is organized jointly with the French-Spanish, French-Italian, and French-English master's thesis associations.
Finally, the JPC promotes the links between the different cohorts. It organizes regular get-togethers with graduates of the program and holds "crash courses," intensive courses, in subjects that students find difficult. The association also organizes the annual cocktail party, alternating with its sister association, the J.D.F.R. e.V. This unique gathering, which brings together former students of the course, current students and university teachers, promotes the vitality of our network and reminds everyone that Franco-German friendship and cooperation require joint care.
